Ok, a friend gave me some good advice. I´m going to pass it on so it´s not officially my theory but it still ticks all the boxes.
If u´re just starting out teaching english in Madrid then think about your pricing. It may seem the quick-fix to offer lower price classes (10-15 euros). But remember that once you´ve set a price it´s really hard to raise that price. Also, you may get a lot of work through word of mouth and that will be at your lower rate.
Also, working for 15 euros per hour is actually working for 5 euros per hour if you consider the prep and travel time.
Enjoy your weekend :-)

I am with you on that theory! I have learnt the hard way about pricing and also about cancellations and travel time and materials and so on! Congratulations on starting a blog! I am happy to be your first follower.... do you want to be one of my blog followers?
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! A blog! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree on the pricing thing - value yourself, and your clients will value you too.
